Well-known Mayo restaurant announces closure

The Towers Bar and Restaurant in Westport announced its closure today (September 30).

Tom Bourke and the Towers team said in a Facebook post: “As we close this chapter, we are excited to focus on our new venture at JJ O'Malley's on Bridge Street…We hope to see many familiar faces and receive your continued support as we begin this new journey. Here’s to building a new thriving business together and creating something special in JJ’s!” 

They go on to explain that all vouchers purchased for the Towers can be used in JJ O’Malley’s.

Additionally, Tom Bourke and the Towers team expressed gratitude towards both staff and customers: “First and foremost we would like to thank our incredible staff, past and present, we owe our success to your hard work, dedication, and passion. Without you, The Towers would not have been what it was – a place filled with warmth, great food, and wonderful memories.

“To our loyal customers and friends, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Over the years, you have become more than just patrons – you’ve become part of our extended family.”
