"Nice surprise": Irish Premier League legend flies out of Knock Airport

There was a nice surprise for a group of passengers flying out of Ireland West Airport Knock on Saturday morning as they bumped into Ireland and Everton legend Seamus Coleman.

A group from Claremorris were bound for Liverpool when they met with the Donegal native who began his professional career with Sligo Rovers.

Ireland West Airport shared the moment on their social media.

"Nice surprise for these Claremorris lads travelling out of the airport this morning with Ryanair to Liverpool meeting none other than Ireland and Everton legend Seamus Coleman."

"No doubt the lads trying to convince him to do the tour of Liverpool. Enjoy lads and safe travels. Thanks Seamus as always for choosing us as your favorite airport."

Coleman's passage through Knock Airport comes just days after another Premier League icon travelled through Ireland West. Former Spurs and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp flew to Knock from Heathrow ahead of his live event that took place in Castlebar last week.
