Un-Conn-querable! Rangers girls go unbeaten
Conn Rangers captain Hannah Breslin is presented with the Under 19 League Cup by Mayo Womens League chairman Michael Collins
Conn Rangers Under 19 girls wrapped up an unbeaten league campaign on Sunday morning and were presented with the league cup.
They ended the season on a high with a 7-2 win at home over Killala, having dropped just two points en route to winning the title.
Conn were well on their way to the win by half-time in a first half that saw a hat-trick from Sadhbh Staunton among their five goals.
Killala hit the net twice in the second half but the margin remained a five-goal difference at full-time.
Mayo Women's League chairman Michael Collins presented the cup to Conn Rangers captain Hannah Breslin, with David Munnelly from the league also on hand for the medal presentations.
The league extends its thanks to Hayes Mechanical & Engineering for their sponsorship of the Under 19 Girls League again this year.
Attention in the women's league will next be turning to the women's masters league, which is due to get underway at the end of October and once again promises to be an exciting competition.
