Former Mayo inter-county footballer and leading mental health and neurodiversity advocate, Pádraig O’Hora, has revealed his next extreme adventure after conquering Mount Everest earlier this year.
The Ballina man will take on Mount Kilimanjaro in December 2027, alongside Earth’s Edge.
Pádraig’s announcement comes just months after he was part of the first all-Irish team in more than 20 years to scale Mount Everest, reaching the summit following a 47-day expedition in Nepal in May.
The Ballina Stephenites star took on the challenge in aid of Mayo Mental Health Association, where he works as a Community Liaison Officer.
Now, his next adventure will see him head to the African continent, with Pádraig promising that this will be much more than a standard climb.
“This isn’t just your standard Kilimanjaro trip,” he said, hinting that more details will be released over the coming weeks.
Padraig said he was “beyond excited” for his next challenge, which he described as “Kilimanjaro and a whole lot more”.
