‘Love was definitely in the aisles’ as Mayo couple get engaged in Centra

'Love actually is all around', as Hugh Grant famously said in the 2003 classic film , and that was certainly the case in Mayo over the weekend.
A milestone moment for Christian and Claire took place last Friday evening when they got engaged during a trip to the local Centra in Castlebar, with two of their friends looking on as Christian popped the question in the seating area.
Said to be the first Centra engagement, the couple’s special moment was captured on camera and later shared on social media, where people were quick to congratulate them on their news and wish them all the best for the future.
Centra Castlebar said that “love was definitely in the aisles” as staff congratulated the newly engaged couple.
“Our very first Centra engagement, now that’s a trip to the local you’ll never forget," they added.
Centra Ireland also joined the celebrations, congratulating the pair, wishing them a lifetime of happiness together, and thanking them for letting the store be part of their special moment.
It might not be the most traditional place to get engaged, but for Christian and Claire, a trip to the local store has turned into a precious moment they will remember for the rest of their lives.
