Mayo Roscommon Hospice has benefited to the tune of over €4,000 as a result of proceeds raised by this summer’s Westportif cycle.

A local councillor has said a recent spell of incremental weather in Kiltimagh highlighted issues with the town’s stormwater capacity.

Children’s cancer charity, Cancer Fund for Children, is to proceed with construction of Daisy Lodge, its purpose-built therapeutic short break centre for children diagnosed with cancer and their families, in August.

Traffic diversions will be in place.
