Mayo GAA club prepares for historic Sam Maguire visit
Sam Maguire will be brought to the club this weekend
A North Mayo GAA club is preparing to welcome Sam Maguire to their grounds for the very first time.
Homegrown hero Darren McHale will bring Sam to Knockmore on Saturday, October 3.
The club say it will be a “special day to celebrate our club and our community.” The event runs from 5pm to 9pm with food, music, and family activities.
Darren McHale will arrive with the iconic trophy at 6pm after which there will be an opportunity for photographs. The club also plan to capture the moment with a Knockmore community photograph.
“A day for Knockmore, a day for everyone,” said Knockmore GAA.
