Mayo family donate late son's comic collection to local library

Mayo County Library has thanked a local family who donated their late son and brother’s extensive comic collection to Castlebar library.
The Faherty family recently donated comics from the personal library of the late Mark Faherty.
Mark, who was from Garryduff in Castlebar, passed away in 2016. The Faherty family are well-known in the county town and ran a shop in Garryduff Drive for many years.
Mark was a huge comic fan and a display of his collection featured at the recent Comic Fest held at the library.
His brother Gerard, mother, Margaret and father Gerry are pictured with Castlebar Library’s Jim O’Connor on a recent visit to the library.
