Two men brought to hospital following Mayo road crash
Two men were brought to hospital, one with serious injuries following a road traffic accident on the N5 yesterday evening.
Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a car and truck on the N5 Castlebar to Turlough road yesterday at approximately 4pm. The incident occurred on the N5 near the junction with the L5785, Ballyneggin.
A man (90s) was taken to Mayo University Hospital with serious injuries while another man (30s) was taken to Mayo University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road had been closed overnight into this morning but has since been reopened.
Investigations are ongoing.
