Two people have been hospitalised following the incident.
Two people have been injured following a suspected gas explosion at a Mayo restaurant.
The incident occurred at the Tulsi Indian restaurant on Lower Charles Street, Castlebar at around 8.30pm this evening.
Two people, understood to be employees, sustained injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. They were both taken to Mayo University Hospital.
Emergency services remain at the scene tonight.
