Storm Éowyn: When the Status RED and ORANGE weather warnings take effect in Mayo

Storm Éowyn is set to hit the country.
Ireland is bracing for a 'severe' weather event over the coming days as Storm Éowyn is set to batter the country from early Friday morning.
Mayo will have two weather warnings valid on Friday with a Status Red and Orange Wind warning in place during the course of the day.
The 'danger to life' Status Red Wind warning is valid for Mayo from 4am on Friday, January 24 until midday (12pm).
Met Éireann says the storm will bring severe, damaging and extremely destructive gusts in excess of 130km/h.
The Status Orange Wind warning is valid for the whole country from 2am on Friday until 5pm the same day.
