Popular Mayo town takeaway business closes its doors

A popular Castlebar takeaway business has announced its closure.

Paramount House, which was located at New Antrim Street, closed its doors yesterday.

Ahead of their closure last Sunday, the business posted: "We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the local people and all those who have welcomed them in Castlebar over the last 30 to 40 years.

"You are the reason they stayed here and called Castlebar home.

"Pop in over the weekend and wish them a truly well deserved retirement."
