New Mayo town pedestrian crossing nearing completion

The works are being carried out by Mayo County Council.
The pedestrian crossing at Main Street, Kiltimagh is almost complete.
The lights were installed just before Christmas and all that remains is to construct the tarmac ramp (which will have a traffic calming effect), paint the new ramp with white markings, and switch on and commission the lights themselves.
It was expected that all this work would have been completed by mid-December, but it wasn’t. The remaining works won’t take too long to complete.
