Mayo town shop to close this week

Newport discount store Ashling's recently announced its closure at the end of this month.

In a Facebook post, the business said: "It is with a very heavy heart and months of debating that I have decided to close Ashling's. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has come through the door. 

"It's been an amazing adventure, and I've met some fantastic people and have made lifelong friends. We will be open till the end of March, and no doubt there'll be lots of chats in between. Still lots of great offers to be had, so call in."
