Mayo town restaurant announces its sudden closure

Carney's Bar & Restaurant of Ballinrobe have decided to close their doors.

In a social post, the business said: "After long talks, we have decided we will not be reopening Carney's Bar. We have enjoyed ourselves. We have had very friendly and hard-working staff. We also have had fabulous customers who have supported us from the start and for that we are truly grateful. 

"Despite the enjoyment of meeting people on a daily basis, certain elements have been hard. The constant increases and the cost of doing business keep the margins tight and for that reason, we have decided not to invest further. A big thank you to our customers, our suppliers and of course our staff. Teresa & family."

They added that any outstanding vouchers people have purchased from them will be honoured, up to February 20th.
