Mayo singer wins notable radio competition while helping a worthy cause

Killala singer-songwriter Joanne Gallagher was announced as the winner of the recent Today FM competition - Ireland’s Biggest Busker.
In a post on social media, it was said: "Congrats to Ireland’s Biggest Busker: Joanne Gallagher. Not only did she get the most votes, but she also raised over €3,300 for Focus Ireland.
"If you’re heading to Whelan’s tomorrow night you’ll get to see Joanne herself open for the one and only Block Rockin Beats. Well done to all our incredible buskers who took part and helped raise vital funds for homeless services. There is so much talent on this island."
