Mayo boy, 11, achieves high honours in Speech and Drama

Cianán Cresham, aged 11, from Glenfort Castlebar recently achieved his Grade 1 Speech and Drama examination with High Honours from the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM).

A big well done to the hugely-talented 11-year-old Cianán Cresham, Glenfort Castlebar for recently achieving his Grade 1 Speech and Drama examination with High Honours from the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM).

The RIAM Speech and Drama exam encompasses performance in poetry, prose, reading, acting through song, theory and conversation.

Cianán Cresham performed Consider Yourself from the musical Oliver, recited the poem Don’t Put Mustard in the Custard by Michael Rosen, performed The Shepherd and the Wolf by Aesop and read an excerpt from Dr Seuss.

Cianán will now progress to the next stage on his speech and drama journey.
