Ireland West Airport Knock issues statement amid snowfall and cold snap

Ireland West Airport Knock has stated that it is open and operational this morning.
In a social post, the airport added: "However due to heavy snowfall overnight passengers are advised to check with their airline directly for updates regarding their specific flight.
"Our snow and ice teams are currently in the process of clearing the runway and taxiways ahead of the arrival of our first wave of flights.
"Those travelling to the airport this morning should allow plenty of time to get to and from the airport, as roads into the airport are extremely icy."
