Ireland West Airport Knock is now back to fully operational and phone lines have been restored following Storm Éowyn.

The storm caused the airport to close last Friday morning (January 24) with a record gust arriving at 5.40am.

The record winds, which were 84knots - translating to 156km per hour - were the strongest ever recorded at the airport.

The airport reopened on Friday afternoon following the brief closure.
