How long will the cold snap last in Mayo? 

There will be an improvement in the weather tonight amid the recent freezing temperatures, according to Met Éireann.

Tonight (Friday, January 10) will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain at first in Connacht. The rain will slowly clear eastwards overnight. 

Met Éireann say it won't be as cold as previous nights with lowest temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southeast winds.
