The Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice warning is in place for Connacht from 6pm this evening (Wednesday, January 8).

Met Éireann say tonight will be extremely cold and largely dry in Connacht. 

A few wintry showers will affect parts of the north and west. There will be severe frost, ice or black ice and patches of freezing fog.

Lowest temperatures of -6 to -2 degrees with light variable breezes.

The Status Orange Low Temperature/Ice warning is in place for Connacht from 6pm this evening (Wednesday, January 8).

The weather warning will be valid until 11am tomorrow (Thursday, January 9).
