Ballina startup EirLyte launches new zero-sugar drink

The unique launch event was held at the Kennedy Glasgow Centre at Ballina Quay.
EirLyte, the Ballina-based electrolyte hydration startup, officially launched its zero-sugar drink mix with a vibrant community event at the Kennedy Glasgow House on Sunday, August 17th.
The afternoon celebrated movement, wellness, and clean hydration, bringing together athletes, wellness advocates, and local supporters. The day kicked off with a spirited run with the Moy Miles Run Club and led by local international athlete Keelan Kilrehill, followed by a free post-run Pilates session hosted by Saoirse O’Dowd of Freedom Wellness, leaving attendees refreshed and energised.
Special guests including Mayo footballer Dylan Thornton, athlete Seamus Clarke, Minister Dara Calleary, Senator Mark Duffy and Mary McHale joined the celebrations, highlighting the strong community backing for the locally founded brand. Guests enjoyed exclusive first tastes of EirLyte’s sugar-free electrolyte mixes, launch-day offers, and merchandise giveaways, while learning about the company’s mission to deliver clean, effective hydration powered by organic Irish sea salt.
“Seeing so many people come together in Ballina to support EirLyte was incredible,” said founder Colm Naylor. “We built this brand around community, performance, and wellness - and last weekend’s launch reflected all three. We’re excited to keep growing from the West of Ireland outward.”
The launch marks the beginning of EirLyte’s mission to redefine performance hydration in Ireland with products free from sugar, artificial flavours, preservatives, or colours. With growing interest from athletes, trainers, and health-conscious consumers, the brand is set to expand its presence nationwide.
