Ballina Gardaí detect motorist driving well over the speed limit

Last Friday, An Garda Síochána conducted speed checks nationwide in an effort to promote and encourage safer driving.
During this operation, An Garda Síochána detected 630 drivers travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit. Of those detections, 281 drivers were intercepted by Gardaí.
Gardaí attached to Ballina Garda Station detected a motorist travelling at 107kph in a 60kph zone.
This motorist will face prosecution for their driving behaviour.
