Ballina business brings a smile with heartwarming festive gesture

A Ballina business has brought a little bit of light to the less fortunate this Christmas with a heartwarming gesture.
Mocha Beans, who run shops on Pearse Street and the Foxford Road will be offering free soup and sandwiches to anyone who is spending the holidays alone and needs a meal.
“If you or someone you know is in need, simply swing by our shops — we'll have them ready for you to take home, toast, and heat up whenever you're ready,” they said on social media.
“It saddens us each year to think of people who are less fortunate and have to be hungry this Christmas Day. Nobody should have to go through this.”
The coffee brewers are also offering some blankets to bring home and keep the wearer warm on these cold winter nights.
“This is our small way of spreading warmth and kindness this season,” they said.
The free soup and sandwiches will be available outside Mocha Beans on Pearse Street and the Foxford Road all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
