ALERT: Weather warning issued for Mayo
Met Éireann stated that exceptionally warm weather will occur over the country this week.
A Status Yellow High Temperature warning has been issued for Ireland.
The weather warning, which will be valid from midday on Tuesday (June 23) until 9am on Friday (June 26), will see maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C, combined with night-time minima in excess of 15°C.
Potential impacts include water safety issues due to increased use of lakes/beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and heat stress.
Met Éireann stated that exceptionally warm weather will occur over the country this week. Daytime temperatures will exceed 25 degrees, with temperatures possibly reaching 30 degrees on Thursday. Very mild, humid and possibly uncomfortable at night as temperatures will generally stay above 15 degrees. Thunderstorms are also possible, particularly on Thursday.
