Woman (90s) dies in East Mayo house fire

A woman in her 90s has died in a house fire in East Mayo.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a blaze at a residential premises in Kiltimagh on Monday afternoon.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed a woman, aged in her 90s, has been pronounced dead.
The woman died at the scene and a technical examination will take place today.
Kilkelly-based Fianna Fáil Councillor John Caulfield stated it was very sad news.
"My sympathies to all of the deceased woman's relatives, a death at any time is sad but in those circumstances it is extremely tragic," he said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time."
