A vandalised defibrillator has been reinstalled on Croagh Patrick

A spirited community effort has seen vandalised defibrillator united repaired and reinstalled on the summit of Croagh Patrick.

The life-saving equipment was destroyed my mindless thugs a number of weeks ago.

A large rock was used to break open the door, the defibrillator was taken out and the pads removed.

The local community rallied and a team involving Mayo Mountain Rescue and Mayo Civil Defence, along with tradespeople and volunteers, made the journey on foot to the top of the Reek.
