COMMUNITY NOTES: NORTH MAYO - WESTERN PEOPLE (MAY 26 EDITION)
All were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Margaret Ryan (nee Lynch), Toomore, and late of Gortnadreha, Knockmore. Her Requiem Mass was celebrated on Tuesday last in St Michael ‘s Church Foxford, where large numbers gathered to pay their final respects to a much loved member of their community.
During the week, many tributes were paid to Margaret. She was remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who was always so helpful in a time of need. She was talented with her hands and needle work and her curtain making was second to none. She too was remembered for her time spent in helping to run Knockmore Post Office, where she was always so kind and helpful with all she met and served there.
