Teenager to walk over 65km from Galway to Mayo to raise funds for a family this weekend

Due to road safety concerns, the number of walkers is limited, but the public are encouraged to show their support along the route.
Niamh Heneghan, a 14-year-old from Leenane, along with family and friends, will walk 67km from Clifden to Westport on the weekend of November 30th and December 1st to raise funds for the Graham family, who are affected by motor neurone disease.
The event, ‘Together for Susan’, is a demonstration of community solidarity, transcending county boundaries and showing the power of collective support across Galway and Mayo.
The walk will begin on Saturday, November 30th, at 8am at SuperValu in Clifden, with the first leg ending around 4pm in Leenane. It will resume on Sunday, December 1st, starting at 8am in Leenane and concluding at the Octagon in Westport around 4pm.

Sponsorship cards and donation buckets will be available, and donations can also be made directly via the Graham family’s GoFundMe page.
To conclude the walk, there will be craic agus ceol with Eric Heneghan & Joe Forde at The Porter House in Westport from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, December 1st.
A charity car wash will run alongside the walk on Saturday, November 30th, at Holland's Daybreak in Westport, with all proceeds going to the Graham family.
