Storm Darragh: STATUS RED weather warning issued for Mayo

A Status Red Wind warning is in place for Mayo from 10pm tonight (Friday, December 6) until 3am tomorrow (Saturday, December 7).
Met Éireann has issued a severe weather warning update amid the arrival of Storm Darragh this evening.
A Status Red Wind warning is in place for Mayo from 9pm tonight (Friday, December 6) until 3am tomorrow (Saturday, December 7).
In addition, a Status Orange Wind warning is valid from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow.
Met Éireann says Storm Darragh will bring extremely strong and gusty northwest winds.
Impacts include fallen trees, damage to power lines, very difficult travelling conditions, structural damage to temporary structures and wave overtopping.

Two Status Yellow warnings will also be in place for Mayo today.
A Status Yellow Rain warning is currently valid until 10am tomorrow while a Status Yellow Wind warning is in place for the entire country from 3pm today until 3pm tomorrow.
