Bus Éireann advises all intending passengers to check the ‘Service Updates’ section of their website before travelling.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Red Wind warning for counties Mayo, Clare, Galway, Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo. The Red warning will be in effect in Mayo from 10pm tonight, Friday 6 December until 3am Saturday morning, in Clare and Galway from 10pm until 2am tomorrow and in Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo from 11pm until 3am tomorrow, Saturday 7 December.

Following an assessment of the available information from Met Éireann and the likely impact of Storm Darragh, a large number of services across Expressway intercity, commuter and city services, scheduled to operate between these times, have been cancelled.

Bus Éireann advises all intending passengers to check the ‘Service Updates’ section of their website before travelling. Bus Éireann will continue to monitor weather advisories (issued by Met Éireann) as well as road conditions in the coming days and any service disruptions will be posted on their website.

The safety of the passengers and staff is of paramount importance to Bus Éireann and they encourage all customers to plan their journeys in advance, allowing extra time for their journey, during this period of adverse weather.
