The Mayo Mountain Rescue Team responded to two incidents on Croagh Patrick over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

On Sunday, May 31, the team was tasked by the National Ambulance Service at 07:44 to assist a male hiker who sustained a lower leg injury while descending Croagh Patrick. A hill party was deployed to the casualty's location. Following assessment and treatment, the casualty was evacuated from the mountain by stretcher. The team was stood down at 09:43.

On Monday, June 1, Mayo Mountain Rescue was tasked by An Garda Síochána at 17:22 to assist a walker experiencing difficulties while descending Croagh Patrick. A First Response Team was deployed to the casualty's location, and the walker was able to descend safely with assistance from team members. The team was stood down at 18:20.

They wished both casualties a full and speedy recovery.
