Ready for the Reek: Aaron takes on Croagh Patrick for Western Care Association
Aaron hopes his challenge will raise funds for a new day service in Foxford and inspire others with autism to pursue their goals.
Aaron O’Keefe is preparing to climb Croagh Patrick on Monday, 28 September, following months of dedicated training.
Through the challenge, Aaron is raising funds for a new Western Care Association day service in Foxford, which he will attend. He also hopes that taking on the iconic Mayo mountain will encourage others with autism to set goals of their own and work towards achieving them.
Aaron has committed significant time and effort to preparing for the climb, building his strength and fitness through regular training sessions. Reaching the summit will represent the achievement of a major personal goal and the culmination of months of hard work.
Funds raised through the challenge will support the development of the new day service in Foxford, helping to create a welcoming and well-equipped space for Aaron and others who will attend the service.
Western Care Association is inviting the wider community to get behind Aaron by donating to his fundraiser or sharing it with family, friends and colleagues.
Donations can be made at: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/aaronsclimb
Every donation, large or small, will support the new service and show Aaron how many people are behind him as he prepares to take on the Reek.
