Popular Mayo pub to close its doors 

A Westport pub is to close its doors in the last weekend of July.

In a statement, the owners of Cú Chulainn’s Bar said the decision to close on Sunday, July 26 was beyond their control and "not the ending we hoped for."

The bar's owners thanked customers, musicians, staff and local organisers who supported the venue including regulars and returning visitors from around the world. They also paid tribute to those who helped organise sporting events at the premises over the years.

Cú Chulainn's Bar has invited patrons to attend its final weekend of live music on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, ahead of the closure.
