The Static Speed Safety Camera systems in place on the N17 (Mayo) and N59 (Galway), will go operational today, Friday 13th December 2024.
Vehicles detected driving in excess of the 100km/h posted speed limit will be subject to prosecution from Friday 13th December 2024.
Prosecution of speeding offences take place by Fixed Charge Notice. The current Fixed Charge Notice is €160 fine accompanied by 3 penalty points.
