COMMUNITY NOTES: CLAREMORRIS - WESTERN PEOPLE (FEBRUARY 4 EDITION)
Mayo County Council has granted planning permission for a 26-unit housing development at Ardroe.
The project will feature five detached homes, ten semi-detached homes, and eleven terraced houses. EBV Construction Limited is behind the development.
The site covers 2.4 hectares and is adjacent to the ‘Ard Rua’ development. Two objections were lodged with the council. Concerns raised included inadequate roads and footpaths, the loss of community open space, and the potential impact on views and natural light.
Despite these objections, planners approved the development, subject to several conditions.
