New extension approved for popular Mayo school

The Department of Education has approved a modular extension for Rice College Westport.

Alan Dillon TD said: "This extension will include two additional Special Educational Needs (SEN) classrooms and a new Home Economics room.

"I want to extend my congratulations to Principal Michael Rabbette, Deputy Principal Sinéad Ruddy, the Board of Management, staff, and pupils for their successful application.

"These new facilities will greatly benefit students with special needs and expand subject options with the new Home Economics room."
