Motorist arrested for significant speeding and drugs on major Mayo road

Over the bank holiday, the Mayo Roads Policing Unit were carrying out speed checks on the N17 in Knock when they detected a car travelling at 166km/h in a 100km/h.
They were stopped and the driver tested positive for cannabis and cocaine.
They were arrested, with court to follow.
