Motor dealer announces closure of Castlebar site
The company is to close its Castlebar site.
A Mayo Motor Group has announced the closure of its Castlebar operation.
Griffith’s Motor Group has decided to shut down the premises on the Newport Road in the town.
The company has been a fixture at the former Chadwick’s site for many years. The closure of the large-scale site will create a significant void in Castlebar’s commercial landscape.
The company’s Claremorris headquarters is not impacted by the closure. Griffiths thanked its Castlebar customers for their support over the years.
"We would like to sincerely thank all our customers, friends, and the local community for your support over the years — it has been greatly appreciated.
"We are still here and fully open in Claremorris, with our dedicated sales, service, hire and DOE departments all operating as normal.
"Many of our familiar team members are now based in Claremorris and look forward to continuing to look after you.
"We look forward to welcoming you in Claremorris,” said the company in a statement.
