There’s a Mayo man bidding for success in the hit TV series .
The doors of Slane Castle opened again for the second series of the show, after the first series last year was one of RTÉ’s biggest television hits of the year.
A total of 23 new players have entered the castle and the first episode aired last night (Sunday).
Among them is a Mayo man. Seán Adair is a 59-year-old Regional Emergency Management Officer with the HSE.
Based in Castlebar, the Belfast native was previously General Manager of Bidvest Noonan, who carry out the contract cleaning at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar.
He also worked with Seetec Ireland in Castlebar as a business manager for three years from 2015.
Spoiler alert – Seán was not selected as one of the Traitors in the first episode of the show but it seems there could be plenty of twists and turns yet.
This year's line-up features contestants from across the country, ranging in age from 24 to 61 and including teachers, a postal worker, a psychotherapist, a musician, a stay-at-home dad, an Irish Defence Forces member and an actor and drama teacher.
Hosted once again by Siobhán McSweeney, the players will attempt to navigate a game built on trust, strategy and deception, forming alliances while trying to work out who among them they can believe.
The new series follows the hugely successful first outing for , which became one of RTÉ's biggest television hits of last year.
