The Arts Centre took special care to thank its loyal customers.

The Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar announced in a Facebook post that the daytime Coffee Shop service will close on December 21.

The Facebook post reads: “The Linenhall is heavy-hearted today, as we share the news that we will pause our daytime Coffee Shop service from Saturday 21 December.

“Our evening hospitality will continue as normal for our events program.”

The Arts Centre took special care to thank its loyal customers.

“We want to thank all of our fantastic customers and supporters over the years and we look forward to seeing you in the building again soon at our exhibitions, performances, workshops, events and festivals.”

The post goes on to explain the reason behind the closure of the Coffee Shop.

“The decision is made after a lengthy process, with every attempt made to continue. Like hospitality venues throughout Ireland, circumstances beyond our control mean that it is not possible to continue our daytime Coffee Shop service at this time.”

With any luck, the service will return in the future. In the meantime, the Arts Centre expressed gratitude for the hard work of the team that managed the Coffee Shop.

“We want to make a special mention of the fantastic team that managed the coffee shop for many, many years without which we would not have been able to continue our service for as long as possible.”
