A Mayo pub will open its doors again tomorrow after being closed for 37 years.

Cannon's Bar, located at the Market Square in Castlebar, has officially announced its reopening details.

In a statement, the business wrote, "It’s been a long road, but we’re delighted to finally open the doors and welcome everyone back to Cannon's Bar.

"We can’t wait to see it full of life, laughter, great conversation, and perfectly poured pints once again.

"We’re kicking things off with a series of soft openings as we put the finishing touches in place. While we’re open and ready to welcome you, there are still a few small details being completed before we celebrate with an official opening ceremony in the coming weeks.

"Please don’t be disappointed if you can’t get in straight away. We have seating for around 40 people, along with a small standing area. For the first few nights, we’ll have staff on the door to help manage numbers and make sure everyone has the best possible experience.

"Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this special project back to life. From the tradespeople and suppliers to our friends, family, supporters, and everyone who encouraged us along the way - we couldn’t have done it without you.

"Now all that’s left to do is pull a pint, open the doors, and welcome you all back.

"Here’s to the next chapter of Cannon's Bar. See you soon!"
