Kay Brennan, Lisa Keevans, Jarlath Sweeney and John Smalley (Claremorris' McWilliam Park Hotel), along with their boat skipper, Martin O'Halloran, feel very honoured to take part in the Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay swim on 18th July 2026.
The annual event is an epic swim across Galway Bay from Auginish in County Clare, 13 Km to Blackrock Diving Tower, Salthill, Galway, to highlight the work of and raise funds for Cancer Care West.
The Galway Bay swim has 30 teams of two to four swimmers and 60 solo swimmers who all raise funds for Cancer Care West.
This is the 21st year of the swim, which has raised over 1.8 million to support patients and families facing cancer in the West of Ireland.
