Mayo businesses can save time, money and energy

A new campaign has been launched by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Mayo to show businesses how to make become more productive and to improve their competitiveness.
Entitled 'All In a Day’s Work', the campaign highlights Local Enterprise Office supports, helping business to reduce waste, inefficiencies and costs.
These include the Lean for Business Programme, Green for Business Programme and Digital for Business Programme. Each of the programmes are free and produce a tailored plan of changes that can positively impact the business.
John Magee, Mayo County Council Head of Enterprise, commented: “It has never been more important for businesses to be competitive and productive. This campaign shows businesses simple changes to save their time, money and energy."
Mr Magee said the campaign is very user-friendly.
“We have made it as simple as possible for businesses to access these supports. No matter what sector your business is in, we can help you. You simply spend two minutes filling out the form on the 'All In a Day’s Work' website and we take it from there. We will then work around your schedule and find the best support that fits your business and the stage it’s at."
Mr Magee said the initiative has a very good track record.
“We’ve helped thousands of businesses to date and the best thing about these supports is that they will make your business better, they will make it more competitive and improve productivity. After all, this is all in a day’s work for us!”
The Green for Business Programme and the Digital for Business Programme can also lead on to the Energy Efficiency Grant and the Grow Digital Voucher which provide financial support for companies that want to implement the findings of the programme within their business.
These supports have been expanded by Minister Peter Burke and the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment to cover all business sectors and are open to any business with up to 50 employees.
Businesses are being encouraged to reach out to their Local Enterprise Office to start the process or take two minutes on the website www.allinadayswork.ie to fill out the form and their Local Enterprise Office will take it from there.
