JOB ALERT: Ballina-based engineering business is expanding its team

MFA Consulting Engineers is expanding its multidisciplinary team and is inviting applications for the role of Structural Design Engineer.

With offices in Ballina and Sligo, MFA delivers civil, structural, and infrastructure engineering services across Ireland. The practice works with local authorities, private developers, community organisations, and design teams on a wide range of projects including housing, education, healthcare, commercial, refurbishment, and infrastructure-related developments.

The opportunity is suited to an engineer with four or more years’ experience in an Irish consultancy environment who is ready to take on greater technical and project responsibility. The successful candidate will be involved across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, planning support, detailed structural design, tender documentation, site inspections, and construction-stage assistance.

The role will include structural analysis and design in accordance with current Eurocodes, preparation and coordination of drawings and specifications, collaboration with architects, civil engineers, contractors and clients, and practical input during project delivery.
