A well-known part of Ballina’s hospitality scene has entered an exciting new chapter with the official unveiling of the newly refurbished Frog’s Bar & Dining at the Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club.
The launch event welcomed local businesses, community representatives, invited guests and friends of the hotel to experience the transformed space and sample the venue’s new dining offering, which includes a refreshed à la carte menu alongside a dedicated children’s menu.
Long regarded as a familiar meeting place for locals and visitors alike, Frog’s Bar has been thoughtfully reimagined with a contemporary new look while retaining the warm and welcoming atmosphere for which it has long been known.
The refurbishment forms part of the hotel’s ongoing investment in enhancing its hospitality and leisure offering in Ballina, creating a modern and comfortable space for casual dining, social occasions and family gatherings.
Speaking at the launch, Shane Scott, General Manager of Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club, said the project aimed to honour the legacy of Frog’s Bar while introducing a fresh new experience for guests.
“Frog’s Bar has always held a special place in the heart of Ballina, and this refurbishment was about respecting that history while introducing something fresh and exciting for today’s guests,” he said.
“We wanted to create a space that feels warm, welcoming and full of character — somewhere people can enjoy great food, drinks and company, whether they’re visiting for lunch, a family meal or a social evening out.
“This launch marks another important step in our wider vision for the property as a destination for dining, wellness, leisure and community experiences all in one location.”
The hotel’s new menu and dining concept has been led by Head Chef Declan Hogan and the culinary team, with a focus on quality ingredients, comfort dining and a relaxed guest experience.
Mairéad Melody Carr, Manager of Mayo North Tourism, welcomed the investment, describing it as another positive addition to the hospitality offering in North Mayo.
“It is fantastic to see continued investment in hospitality and visitor experiences in Ballina and North Mayo. Venues such as Frog’s Bar & Dining play an important role in showcasing the warm welcome and quality experiences available in the region, benefiting both visitors and the local community alike,” she said.
The newly refurbished Frog’s Bar & Dining is now open daily at Twin Trees Hotel & Leisure Club, welcoming guests to enjoy its refreshed surroundings and new dining experience in the heart of Ballina.
