As the school year drew to a close, all at Jesus and Mary Secondary School bid a fond farewell to their wonderful colleague and friend, Ms Marie Moore, who has retired after 28 years of dedicated service.

Marie has been a cherished member of the school community, sharing her passion and expertise through the teaching of music and Irish.

Over the years, she inspired countless students to develop their musical talents, grow in confidence, and shine through school productions and performances. Her contribution to school life extended far beyond the classroom. Marie generously gave of her time to provide choir practices at lunchtime, organise music for school Masses and events, and run the ever-popular Board Games club. She also had a deep love for the environment, always encouraging recycling and sustainability within the school community.

All at JMSS will greatly miss Marie’s warmth, positivity, creativity, good humour and unwavering commitment, as well as her beautiful flower displays that brought colour and joy to so many school occasions. Her kindness and dedication have left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working and learning alongside her.

Ms Moore is wished every happiness, good health and well deserved relaxation in her retirement.
