Famous actor calls Mayo location a 'magical place' during podcast chat

Irish actor Barry Keoghan recently described Achill Island in Co. Mayo as a “very, very magical place.” 

Earlier this month, Keoghan guest starred on This Life Of Mine with James Corden. In the podcast episode, Keoghan chose to highlight Achill Island.

Keoghan said, “I didn’t have a sense of time. I’m going to say, selfishly, I felt like it was the only place that existed at that time and I think that is a credit to the island and what it holds.

“I was just so present,” he concluded.

Dublin-born Keoghan spent time on Achill Island while filming The Banshees of Inisherin alongside Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Keoghan described this experience as a “turning point.”
