Mount Falcon Estate.

Mount Falcon Estate is now being offered for sale by private treaty by CBRE Hotels on behalf of the Maloney Family.

The fully operational 4-star deluxe Manor House Hotel and Estate spanning 38.5 hectares / 95 acres has been lovingly restored by the current owners and has become a renowned hospitality destination.

Designed in 1872 by James Franklin Fuller, the celebrated architect of Ashford Castle, Kylemore Abbey and Farmleigh House, the Manor House was completed in 1876 as a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture. Following an extensive three-year restoration by the current ownership from 2002, it opened as a luxury country house hotel in 2006.

Located 7km south of Ballina on the N26 Foxford–Ballina road, Mount Falcon is well connected to Ireland West Airport Knock, Shannon Airport, Dublin and the broader Wild Atlantic Way tourism corridor, which draws in excess of 2.2 million visitors annually.

The Estate comprises 32 bedrooms within the Manor House, including two suites and four deluxe rooms retaining their original period features, from 15-foot ceilings and marble fireplaces to freestanding cast-iron baths, complemented by 45 luxury lodges set across three distinct settings: The Woodlands, The Courtyard, and The Lakeside.

In total, the hotel owns 17 of these lodges and, together with some of the lodges that they lease, there is additional accommodation for up to a further 118 guests.

Also included in the property is the award-winning ‘The Kitchen’ Restaurant, The Boathole Bar, a 17m indoor pool, the Elemis spa, and conference and banqueting facilities including The Fuller Room with room for up to 200 guests.

The estate also offers 3.2km of double-bank salmon fishing on the River Moy exclusively for hotel guests with a 10-year average of 350 fish per season.

Susan Joyce, Director, CBRE Hotels Ireland, commented: "In the Irish hospitality investment market, truly complete estate assets of the calibre of Mount Falcon are extraordinarily rare. It offers a combination of heritage, natural beauty and diversified revenue streams.

"The Estate’s freehold tenure and its considerable development potential - including scope for additional bedrooms, further lodges and enlarged banqueting facilities, subject to planning consent - represent compelling upside for the incoming purchaser."

The Estate has welcomed many storied guests over the years, from Vivien Leigh and Peter Sellers in a bygone era, to Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo, Bill Murray, Emily Blunt, Jon Hamm, Jamie Dornan and US President Joe Biden in more recent years.
