Extension of skate park 

The proposed extension of the skatepark at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar has been welcomed.

The amenity has proved extremely popular since first opening.

 “I’m delighted to see plans progressing for Phase 2 of the Lough Lannagh skatepark. The existing facility has been a fantastic success and is used every single day by members of our community. This extension will enhance the space even further, providing additional opportunities for recreation, inclusion, and healthy activity," said Cllr Donna Sheridan,

The project is expected to commence in late summer, with construction scheduled to take approximately one month to complete. “This investment highlights the importance of providing high-quality recreational facilities in Castlebar. I look forward to seeing the finished development and the continued positive impact it will have for young people and families in the area," Cllr Sheridan added.
